Google has recently released its answer to Twitter and Facebook: Google Buzz. It's built right into Gmail so existing users don't have to set up a new account. It remains to be seen how popular it will become as it faces fairly dominant and well-established opponents. Also with Google Wave failing to create the interest people expected, it's difficult to tell how Google Buzz will perform in the future.
