It's that time of year again....Notting Hill carnival is upon us and I for one, am ready to celebrate. I don't need much of an excuse to get in the carnival spirit but there is none better then this. Get you, your friends, your kids, heck, even your grandma up to Notting Hill and GET DANCING!

Take a look at the proposals for the new Fourth Plinth commission in Trafalgar Square that have been unveiled at St-Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square.
'The exhibiting artists are Allora & Calzadilla; Elmgreen & Dragset; Katharina Fritsch; Brian Griffiths; Hew Locke; and Mariele Neudecker. Each artist has produced a model of their proposed artwork for the empty plinth all of which are on public display free of charge in the foyer of St-Martin-in-the-Fields until 31 October 2010.'
The chosen artwork is due to go be announced by the Mayor of london next year. Due to be installed in 2012.

Summer BBQ time for us here at 'i-am' so this meant an escape from the big smoke and a trip out in to the countryside. This year we all descended upon our director Tim's house for the big Summer BBQ including full hog roast!
We were joined by some of the team from 'i-am' Istanbul, who even got to sample jellied eels (Lucky them) when we all headed to Leigh-on- Sea.
An afternoon of competitive giant Jenga and bowls clearly highlighted who the real 'game' players in 'i-am' are and with a trophy presentation for James, the winner of 'i-am' Golf Tournament, the BBQ was a day of 'sporting-esq' achievements!
Thank you so much to Tim and his family for hosting us. It was a wonderful day of family fun, fabulous food and all in the name of 'i-am' good times!

Interesting...
"Conflict Kitchen is a take-out restaurant that only serves cuisine from countries that the United States is in conflict with. The food is served out of a take-out style storefront, which will rotate identities every 4 months to highlight another country. Each Conflict Kitchen iteration will be augmented by events, performances, and discussion about the the culture, politics, and issues at stake with each country we focus on."
