Following the news at the Top 50 world restaurant
awards on Monday night we are all keen to try the delights on offer at the
restaurant that managed to snatch away El Bulli's golden
crown. Noma is a humble two Michelin star restaurant located in located on
the ground floor of a newly renovated warehouse in the Christianshavn
section of Copenhagen. The restaurant has become renowned for its
reinvention and interpretation of the Nordic
Cuisine...once the post-apocalyptic dust has settled we
are on the next flight out..

All the 'i-am' team along with a select
group of friends; clients, past clients and associates turned out in
full force yesterday to witness our client, the legend that is Julian
Metcalfe, founder of Pret a Manger & Itsu, chat with our friends
Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of Superbrands and Cool Brands. Julian is
such a character we knew we had to give him a forum to talk about how
he feels about customer experience, innovation and the future of fast
food - coupled with many a laugh along the way! Images are currently
being downloaded but we will have more to share soon.
Guests turned out in force with
representatives from fashion to banking with Barclays, Nike,
Fenchurch, Bestseller, Chilango, RBS and more in the room eager to
meet Julian.
Thanks to Everyone who made the night
happen and stay tuned for the next event.
Check out our (slightly amateur) video of the
evening

We at 'i-am'
are big fans of the Soho house group and the levels they go to to create
uniquely designed private members clubs around the globe. A new baby of the
group has been born - Soho House Berlin. The members club and 40 bedroom
boutique hotel will open in May 2010. Located in Berlin Mitte, the
late-Bauhaus structure is a listed building with a distinct symmetrical
facade and remarkable history. Soho House Berlin will also
feature a Cecconi's restaurant, opening in July
2010.

The people behind Camino have brought us London's first sexy little sherry
bar in the form of 'Bar Pepito'. We love this new and authentically rustic
Andalsuian hot spot has just opened in a tucked away cobbled courtyard of
Kingscross showcasing some of the finest sherry in town.
The bar interior is an authentic mix of exposed brick, tables shaped
from sherry casks and Spanish wine racks adorning the walls making for a
very intimate drinking experience. And if that's not
enough to convince you that sherry is not just for Christmas or Dot
Cotton's Sunday night tipple they also offer an exciting
array of authentic tapas-style food including olives, chorizos and all
things Spanish to accompany your sherry experience.
The bar has also managed to bag Dick Bradsell - the original mixologist.
He is temporarily working his wonder down in the members basement bar
whipping up some delicious cocktails. Bar Pepito has defiantly shown us
that sherry is for life, not just for christmas...
