The Levant Group is one of London's most successful Middle Eastern restaurant groups. Founded by entrepreneur Tony Kitous the group has established a chain of destination restaurants in some of London's most desirable locations. Inspired by their success Levant launched a café concept called Comptoir Libanais that provided 'food to share' within an eclectic environment inspired by the faded glamour of the 1960's Middle East.

The Brief:

Having successfully opened one test site Levant asked 'i-am' to create a full brand personality that captured the unique quality of Comptoir and to develop a restaurant format that could be rolled out across new sites without losing the eclectic individual quality of the first site.

The Solution:

'i-am' have created a new clearly defined brand personality for Comptoir Libanais that has been applied to all aspects of their business including interiors, packaging, menus and signage. The new brand experience truly captures the essence of unconventional Middle Eastern glamour while being easy to apply and scale across their estate.

The Result:

The new Comptoir Libanais brand experience has been successfully launched and immediately nominated for 'Best Restaurant Multiple' of the year by Restaurant Magazine. Based on this success 'i-am' have subsequently designed a diffusion brand called Shawa that has recently opened at London's Wesfield shopping Mall.
